Meet Alis Wang

Alis is running for the Virginia State Senate because it is time for accountable leadership and putting people over profits. She has spent her career serving her country and community and turning complex problems into real solutions -- and our community and Commonwealth have tough problems that need solving. After the 9/11 attacks, Alis answered the call to serve, joining the CIA as a Middle East Analyst. In a world where vague assessments had real consequences, she learned to read volatile situations, weigh competing interests, and speak hard truths to keep our country safe. She later carried that mission into the private sector, advising companies and organizations on national security risks. Alis has applied that same discipline to problems closer to home. On the Fairfax County Planning Commission, she's dug into the details of zoning, infrastructure, and the housing crisis -- the decisions that shape your commute, your kids' schools, and the future of your neighborhood. The 35th District doesn't need empty talk and abstract promises. It needs someone who can stand up to special interests, cut through the noise, make tough decisions, and solve the problems that actually affect your life. That's what Alis is running to do.
